Sport at St George Girls High School encourages students not to become spectators but remain active participants throughout their lives. For each student, emphasis is on involvement, participation, enjoyment and growth through sport.
Whilst participation in representative sport is voluntary, it is mandatory for all students in Years 7 to 11 to participate in school sport each week.
In Year 7, the emphasis is on skill acquisition, skill development and fair play through competition. Students participate in the following sports on a rotational basis:

In Years 8-11, skills are enhanced as students are introduced to a wider selection of sports and recreational activities. Sport for students in these years is conducted on a term basis with the following sports being offered:

Representation and Competitions
The NSW Combined High School Sport Association provides talented students the opportunity to progress through to Zone, Area, State and National level of competitions. Students are also able to participate in a variety of knock-out competitions.
